Lemuri il bacio di lilith

Lemuri - il bacio di Lilith

lemuri il bacio di lilith

Plot Summary, Lilith, a vampire who comes back. Lilith comes back from the dead world and appears in Lucilla's widower's dreams.

2017

Director: Gianni Virgadaula Release date: Contains spoilers Originally called Lemuri — Il bacio di Lilith this is an Italian black and white and at times dyed, including into sepia silent film. There are some critical issues but mostly it does what it wants to do rather well. Lemur The vampire type mentioned through the film is the lemur in the English intertitles and in-film book translations. This is not to be mistaken for the Madagascan primate. From the English title of the film you can see that Lilith has also been attached to the lore of the film though she is both a long dead character and referenced in respect of the Jewish mythology. The intertitles suggest that her unpronounceable name is unknown — which makes little sense as the surrounding area has the myth of Lilith Helm Cinzia Susino. A little word about the intertitles; there were occasional typos through the film but worse was the fact that they at times felt like direct translation and therefore clumsy — this is one area where the film struggled.

I wonder if the dysfunctional family comedy-drama has yet become a genre unto itself? The basic set-up is well established. Squabbling and possibly estranged family members have to gather for some reason and continue squabbling until an event — preferably a crisis — causes them to unite. Well, until after the end credits roll at least. Aspiring artist Johana Sarah Hyland tunes in the evening news to discover that her brother, who is identified as a Meth dealer, has committed suicide. She realizes that this of course means she must head for home just as Peter Alex Frost arrives for a date they've arranged.

Halloween is a month-long affair for me, when I ramp up the Horror and the spooky stuff even more so than usual. In my quest for good new Horror films to watch during this Halloween season I have taken a chance on a couple of rare Italian Gothic films. Both are vampire themed and have Italian casts, but the characters in the respective stories all bear Germanic names. I liked the folklore references and some of the imagery, but the script meandered and there were exploitation scenes which seemed almost inserted as an afterthought, and had no bearing on the plot as I understood it. They arrive after hours but are still given a private tour of the premises, of course, and are even granted permission to pass the night in the untenanted bedchambers only in the movies. One of the girls, Ms Neri, dreams that she is a young bride-to-be, named Helga, in what appears to be the 17th century, who is lead astray by Gunther, a mephistophelean character in a red satin lined black cape who tempts her into adultery and murder, before leaving her to deal with the consequences of her actions.
