The Italian-born makeup artist, known for bringing a cool new vibe to Chanel, has envisioned and designed a range of beautiful new products inspired by warm Californian landscapes. To find inspiration for this exciting new launch, Pica embarked on a road trip through California. It encapsulates the shades and colors of the real world, from the sun-drenched Californian coastline, to dazzling city lights, and concrete boulevards in the heart of Los Angeles, where her journey ended. The star product of the collection is Chanel Palette Essentielle , a multi-purpose face palette combining three creamy formulas: a concealer, a shimmer-free highlighter, and a blusher. The largest pan houses a balm-like concealer, which can be used to blur imperfections, create a fine soft-focus finish, or for touch-ups throughout the day. The densely pigmented coral blush doubles as a lip color.

Whatever your thoughts are about unicorn beauty that is, all things rainbow, glittery, horned, and even loosely inspired by the mythical equine creatureat this point, it's pretty hard to deny that it's a Thing. But maybe you're still thinking it's reserved for the weird and wacky corners of the internet, and not, say, the Grand Palais in Paris, where Chanel just wrapped its Fall haute couture show. The opulent presentation courtesy of King Karl featured three front row celebrities with platinum buzzcuts Katy Perry, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart , a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower and bright, whimsical, multicolored eye makeup that was unmistakable unicorngoals on every single model. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux and his team went full Roy G Biv, smudging a rich cerulean blue below the lids, then layering a kaleidoscope of vampy lilac, highlighter orange, and green apple right up to the brow bones. A smudge of glossy crimson was dabbed along the inner corners of the eyes; some models had a sprinkle of gold on the outer corners.
