The first big change in the sound of Matia Bazar begins: this is the moment of the techno-turn of Fantasia disk Berlin, Paris, London …, , the elegant Vacanze Romane disk Tango, critics award at the Sanremo Festival and first ranked in Germany and Holland , the experimental Aristocratica disk Aristocratica, and the delicate Souvenir Melancholia, critical prize at the Sanremo Festival in , and a big success in Japan where the band is called to make a series of concerts taking over public and mass media , a song written by the author and keyboardist Sergio Cossu who joined the group in after the departure of Sabbione. Always in with Ti Sento disk Melancholia, , they sell millions of copies, consolidating their international fame.
